Cleantech Solar will operate the solar photovoltaic system under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA). Scheduled to go live in the first quarter of 2023, the solar photovoltaic system will replace some of Bell’s electricity consumption with clean energy generated at Bell Singapore ease.

Over its lifetime, Bell’s solar photovoltaic system is expected to generate nearly 40 GWh of clean energy, which will represent a reduction of more than 16 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. In addition, Cleantech Solar will also install two charging stations to support Bell Singapore employees who drive electric vehicles.

In 2020, as part of its Achieve 2025 initiative, Textron established a set of five-year sustainability goals, including a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, a reduction in the intensity of energy and water consumption by 10% and a reduction in waste production by ten%.
