
Energy Trust is conducting a national search for a director of innovation and developmenta new leadership position within the organization.
We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion for innovation and broad development expertise to help us reach more customers and address emerging needs, from environmental justice to housing affordability and disaster resilience. natural and climate change.
This position will be instrumental in the Energy Trust’s ability to achieve the goals of our five-year strategic planin particular our goal to mobilize additional funds to advance clean energy investments that offer multiple benefits.
This is particularly relevant given the the recent adoption of the Inflation Reduction Act, representing the largest U.S. investment in climate and clean energy.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Expertise in business development strategy and execution, particularly with non-profit organizations, large grant development, federal contracts and grants (i.e. excluding fundraising campaigns for small donors, gala/event planning).
- Exceptional skill in developing and strengthening relationships among a wide variety of stakeholders, partners, and funders, including direct experience of authentic engagement with rural communities, communities of color, and low-income communities . Lived experience is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge and passion for innovation best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and building and leading an internal consulting or services function.
- Demonstrated understanding of clean energy policy and program delivery, key industry stakeholders, energy industry or utility markets and operations is strongly preferred.
