You would think that an announcement by any government anywhere in the world that they were installing 10,000 MW of solar power and bringing clean energy into the system would be greeted as good news. And in Pakistan, that was the initial response. After all, energy prices have skyrocketed over the past few months and one of the reasons for this substantial increase has been the rise in oil, coal and gas prices in the international market.
