HICKORY – Organizers of Safe Harbor’s 13th annual Celebrate the Harvest event at Hickory Bible Church on Monday, Oct. 17, said the event was a spectacular display of God’s grace and the commitment and generosity of the community to see life transformation happen.
The evening’s energy was amplified with a performance by Cruse Music and praising God, they added.
The theme for this year’s event was “Thank You for Giving to the Lord,” and the goal was to hear personal testimonies from women who have committed their lives to Christ and are experiencing happy and complete recovery in Him. This was demonstrated through a depiction of three women who transformed their sense of hopelessness for their past into beauty for their future and that of their families.
Over $128,000 was raised Monday night, with more donations expected in the coming months. These gifts enable women and children to go through the rest of their lives cleanly and soberly; living in a stable home for the first time; or move forward in life with a sustainable job.
